Huntington Gardens

It had turned out that our plans to go to Catalina Island were foiled by the fact that we waited to long to buy tickets and so all the boats were filled up by the time we tried to buy tickets yesterday. So we decided to go to the Huntington instead. I haven't been there since Dylan and I first met - one of our first dates, he took me and his friend Leah there and we did high tea or whatever it's called, in the tea room.
Tiger just got home from New Zealand the other day, so he joined us and had all kinds of stories to tell us on the drive to the Huntington. It sounded like he had a great time. Of course now I really want to go there someday.
We got there pretty late, and once inside we realized we needed sunscreen, so Dylan bought some in the gift shop, and then we needed to eat because I hadn't had anything all day and it was already after 1pm.
Finally we got around to exploring the gardens and grounds. It was so pretty! We took a ton of pictures. We went through the chinese and japanese gardens, the Australian and desert gardens, and then went inside the house to look at all the art. Before we knew it, it was closing time and we had to get out of there.
We went back to Atwater to eat at our favorite Sushi happy hour, which was delicious as usual.
Then we got to take Adrienne back with us to West Hollywood since now it was our turn to host her.
