Super Mario Brothers

Dylan was already at work when I got up and he messaged me on IM so we talked about the fight last night and he apologized so we started working everything out, as much as you can on IM at least. It was really stupid anyway so I think things will be fine. Brandon had sent me a mix of "Strange Season" that he did which sounded pretty good but there was a weird echo on the snare drum or something that I asked him to remove. When I got home, Dylan ordered a pizza and we watched an episode of "Saturday Night Live" from a few weeks ago that we hadn't watched yet, and then he did laundry and I worked on the computer. I was editing video from the Cafe Muse show, but kept getting sidetracked playing "Super Mario Bros. 2" online. It's so amazing that you can just play those old NES games on the internet now. I used to sit there in junior high waiting for the day to end so I could go home and play Super Mario Bros and listen to tapes. I'm sure I lis...

Shelley's Birthday

Today was a pretty lazy day. We didn't do much of anything for most of the day so I played Bully on the wii in the basement. Mom and I went shopping at Wal-Mart later to get food for brunch on Memorial Day since we ended up making plans with Shelley Nondorf, and her daughter Samantha and husband Jake who we had just recently hung out with in Hawaii over the holidays. My parents have been friends with the Nondorfs for years but I hadn't seen their kids in ages until Hawaii. We also bought a croquet set for the backyard since neither one of them could remember what happened to Grandma Strecker's old set, which dad insisted had either fallen apart or had been sold at a garage sale. I find it hard to believe they would have sold anything of Grandma's at a garage sale. We also stopped at the Dollar Tree and got some drinking glasses and other assorted little things. I wanted to get a new outfit for Spike, but he already had all the ones they had there. Just like the D...

The Sugar Shack

It was a difficult day of work because I was so tired. I had to go back up to Susan's to do QuickBooks and issue checks, then back down to Hollywood. Right after work, I had to get over to Silverlake for Shitting Glitter rehearsal at Satellite Studios. Red couldn't make it, so it was just Amy, AJ, Laura and I. We rehearsed the set for next Wednesday night's gig and jammed a little too. Our new song, "Full Release" sounded really good, as does the cover of "6 Underground." After rehearsal, I was really beat, but wanted to go out and see some friends. Dylan and I got ready and walked over to Viktor's; Marc was already there. Viktor had just gotten Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, so we played that although I did not do very well, having never played it on Wii before. Jason came and met us, then we all went over to Fubar together. I had tried to talk Amy into entering the Tabatha look-a-like contest (it was a party for Tabatha from the show Salon T...
